What is an Attunement?

Reiki is a form of energy healing that people do without realizing it. For example, if your child gets injured, you put your hands on the area and send love or healing. Or if someone you care about is hurting, you put your arms around them to help ease their pain. This is Reiki. When you're Attuned, it's like turning up the voltage, increasing your ability to heal.

What are Symbols?

When you are attuned, you are given Symbols which aid in different types of healing. The most common of these are:

• A Power Symbol to amplify all healing.
• A Distance Symbol used to send Reiki to faraway places. (It's also used to send healing to the past or future. )
• An Emotional/Mental Symbol used for healing emotional problems, including addictions or weight loss.
• A Physical Symbol used to heal the body.
• A Love Symbol used to send love.
• Three Master Symbols used during the attunement process.

Other Symbols have been channeled by individuals and are used with Reiki, but the above Symbols are the most common.

Level I Attunement

Level I attunement is for healing yourself, your loved ones, or even your pets.

The Level I attunement takes approximately three hours. This level is usually given in a class setting but can be given one on one. Most Masters don't give a Symbol at this level. However, I give the first Symbol, the Power Symbol.  I attune you with this Symbol to increase the voltage of Reiki as you give it to yourself and others.

During The Attunement Process

First, we'll discuss your knowledge of Reiki and how you can use it at Level I. Then I'll attune you with the Symbol and a blessing. After the attunement, we'll go over the Reiki Manual and the History of Reiki, followed by a guided meditation that will help increase your healing ability. We'll end the process by having you give me Reiki so you can actually feel the energy flow through your hands.

Before you leave, I'll give you a Level I Certificate and a Level I and II manual by William Lee Rand. This manual is filled with wonderful information about Reiki and its history. It also has hand positions and descriptions of the Reiki Symbols you recieved during your attunement.

Level II Attunement

Level II Attunement is for becoming a Reiki Practitioner, although many people are attuned to this level just to increase their Reiki Energy.

Level II Attunement takes a full day, usually scheduled on a Saturday, and is given in a class setting with several other students. You will be Attuned to four Symbols and taught how to use them.

During The Attunement Process

I will teach you how to give Reiki as a practitioner, going over hand positions, proper techniques, and use of the Symbols. Also, There is a guided meditation, helping you connect with your Reiki guides and spirits. You will become familiar with Byosen Scanning and Beaming Reiki. We will then all take turns giving Reiki to each other as techniques are observed and improved.

Before you leave, I'll give you a Level II Certificate and the William Lee Rand Manual (if you didn't recieve it during your Level I Attunement.).

Master Level Attunement

Master Level Attunement is for teaching Reiki to others. This is a two day class, usually held on Saturday and Sunday.

Some of the things you will learn during your Master Level Attunemnt are:

• A Reiki Movement Meditation
• How to make a Reiki Grid for sending Reiki to others and yourself
• Aura clearing,  
• A Reiki Master Meditation.

I will also give you the three Master Symbols and teach you to attune all levels. We will then practice on each other. As with all my classes, it will end with a guided meditation by William Lee Rand to increase your healing ability.
